Insanely good my 2nd gen 4Runner has ran them for around a year now and it’s crazy
Big improvement!
Ordered new OME springs and OME Nitro Sport shocks and had Shock Surplus do the assembly. The turn around time was quick and they were packaged well. I previously had installed a RC leveling kit spacer in the front with the original shocks and springs. I have since installed the new setup and the ride is greatly improved. The height of the lift is about the same as the spacer was but the ride and handling is much better. Also replaced the original UCAs for ADO high clearance so now the coil bucket crash I was experiencing is a thing of the past. Very pleased with my purchase and service from Shock Surplus.
Missing items merchant just keeps sending photo. Of tracking for the two shocks that did show up
Shocks
I would love to give a review, but due to the shocks I ordered being out of stock I only received one. I only wish this would have been said upon purchasing
New updated shock diameter is too big.
This is my 3rd set of Old Man Emu shocks on this truck. The first 2 sets were amazing but now they have discontinued the older part number. The updated shock has a larger diameter. The shock contacts the frame at the top which causes the black dust cover to break and fall down so it doesn't protect the shaft anymore. It also comes into contact with the leaf springs at the bottom when the suspension flexes which has dented the shock body. I was assured by customer support at Shock Surplus and also tech support from ARB that this is the correct part number for my application, but it obviously isn't working. I'm currently trying to work with tech support from ARB but it's not looking good. Guess I better figure out a different solution. Sad, because I loved how the older version shocks worked for my truck.
