The Old Man EMU BP51 Internal Bypass shocks and coilovers feature unparalleled on and offroad performance through position sensitive bypass technology. Unlike most other adjustable shock absorbers, which provide adjustment for compression only, the BP-51 range allows on vehicle, independent adjustability of both rebound and compression to offer class leading ride customization that can be tailored to individual vehicle or trip requirements.

This is how a vehicle should handle
Honestly the best purchase i have made for my 2019 tacoma. Handles like a dream, instructions were simple and had all torque specs. Everything else i found on the internet. Recommend the SRQ adjustable sway bar links. Handles like brand new. The old man emu kit does lift the rear to 2.75 in and the front was a 2in from factory.
Poor service from ARB
WARNING, do not purchase unless you’re ok with mailing the suspension to Washington on your own dime to have them rebuild the shocks as they do not allow anyone else to do so.
Big difference offroad
I have a 19 Tacoma TRD Offroad with a Four Wheel Camper Project M pop up camper. I'm carrying at least 600 pounds all the time, and much more when camping. The stock suspension would bounce really bad in big potholes, dips, and ruts, and the stock Bilstein rear shocks were already shot at 38,000 miles. I installed the ARB Old Man Emu kit with the BP51 shocks, and the heavy load rear springs, and what a difference. The truck soaks up the big bumps now, without bouncing us. I'm very pleased with the ride offroad now. The kit did lift my truck higher than the claimed 2 inches, but I'm hoping the suspension will break in and settle a little lower. I did receive 1 bad rear shock in the kit, it was oily, and Shock Surplus took care of it fairly quickly.
Shickyshocks (that’s a good thing)!
I installed the rear shocks myself, but had a pro shop do my front coilovers and the alignment, so a little bit of diy which I enjoyed. I put on my gen 3 Tacoma, OME BP-51’s and a set of Icon RXT stage 3 (full pack with add a leaf) leaf springs. The support crew at ShockSurplus was outstanding and was appreciated just as much as the new feel good, highly adjustable ride. Thanks boyeeeez!
These were OK, until they broke prematurely...
Made it two years and have a broken rear shock. ARB has been zero help with sending a replacement, instead they want me to not have my daily driver for multiple weeks while they "investigate" to see if it's worthy of a repair under warranty. Not at all impressed with their support for this almost $5,000 set of shocks! I gave these a 5 star review at first because they seemed great. Now I can't recommend them at all. It's really too bad.
