Overview

Take the performance of your 2004-UP Ford F150 to new levels with the ICON Vehicle Dynamics Delta Joint tubular upper control arm kit. All ICON tubular upper control arms are constructed from CNC bent 1026 DOM steel tubing and then powder coated to a semi-gloss black finish for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. ICON upper control arms are engineered with built-in caster correction for optimal alignment specifications and confidence inspiring handling. A main benefit of ICON upper control arms is the potential for increased wheel travel when paired with our 2.5 series coilovers, this translates into superior performance and ride quality for your 2004-UP Ford F150.

These upper control arms feature ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.

ICON VEHICLE DYNAMICS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

If a shock is inspected and it has been determined the shock failed due to neglect, damage caused by improper installation or any other reason besides "normal wear and tear", the owner of said shock is responsible for all service costs. ICON Vehicle Dynamics warrants to the original retail purchaser who owns the vehicle on which the product was originally installed. ICON Vehicle Dynamics does not warrant the product for finish, alterations, modifications and/or installation contrary to ICON Vehicle Dynamics instructions.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics products are not designed, nor are they intended to be installed on vehicles used in race applications, for racing purposes or for similar activities. (A "race" is defined as any contest between two or more vehicles, or a contest of one or more vehicles against the clock, whether or not such contest is for a prize). This warranty does not include coverage for police or taxi vehicles, race vehicles, or vehicles used for government or commercial purposes. Also excluded from this warranty are sales outside of the United States of America and Canada.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics' obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at ICON Vehicle Dynamics' discretion, of the defective product. Any and all costs of removal, installation or re-installation, freight charges and incidental or consequential damages are expressly excluded from this warranty. Items that are subject to wear are not considered defective when worn and are not covered. ICON Vehicle Dynamics components must be installed as a complete kit as shown in our current application guide. Any substitutions or exemptions of required components will immediately void the warranty. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. This warranty shall not apply to any product that has been improperly installed, modified or customized subject to accident, negligence, abuse or misuse.

Toyota Tundra suspension upgrade.

The handling of my rig drastically improved. Steer feels tighter, ride quality is smother. I use to spill my coffee every morning on my way to work due to bumps.However now my coffee does not spill all over cup holder.

Practical and easy to install

If I want to put a bullbar and a winch will these shocks be able to handle the extra weight

I have a chassis unlimited prolite bumper and a 10k winch on an 3rd gen, and with about 4,000 mi they are handling everything just fine with the 700lb springs. I previously had the same suspension with the 650lb springs and at 55,000 miles (probably 20k of that with the bumper/winch) I did have some loss of height. I bought these after a 2nd gen owner I know had them on for awhile with a full-size bumper and winch with no issues. I did have some leaking of fluid on the ones I replaced. That somewhat fits the mileage range for when ICON recommends rebuild. I’m sure the extra weight and other abuse I put on these contributed to that, so these should hold up a bit better. Overall I am happy with the ICONS.

With a 2020 Chevy Trail boss this will give me only 1.5 inches of lift. With the shocks maxed out at their highest setting. Does ride quality suffer? I've heard some people say that shocks "settle" over time and that the shocks may lower as a result. What's your guys opinion on this? Do shocks settle?

As long as you stay within Icons recommended preload range, ride quality should largely be unaffected regardless of height. New coilovers will definitely do some settling in the first 50 or so miles after install, but if you see any serious ride height drop throughout their life, there is something wrong with them.

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel, we have a fourwheel slide in truck bed camper that we use for over landing. The truck has the stock suspension on it. I am running 35 inch tires. Im looking for an all around good shock

Will these shocks lift the front of a 2022 trail boss?

Yes they will however since the Trail Boss and AT4 models already sit 2" higher from the factory, the coilovers will only be able to provide a maximum of 1.5" of lift over stock Trail Boss/AT4 height.

Hello, I have a 2017 GMC Canyon SLT 2.8l Duramax. I'm wondering if the delta joint kit fits with the stock control arms or if it's necessary to buy icon control arms as well?

These will not work on your stock upper control arms. This retrofit kit is for use as a replacement for Icon UCAs only or any other arm designed with a similar 1" uniball cup.
