B8 Control Arms are a direct fit upgrade for factory upper control arms on trucks and SUVs. The kit contains a pair of control arms which correct the caster alignment for better straight line stability with lifted suspensions, and the improved pivot angles increase wheel travel and reduce stress on the joints. These strong black powder-coated 4130 chromoly steel arms are a tubular design which allows for more spring and shock clearance and feature greasable polyurethane bushings and heavy duty ball joints for the ideal combination of ride quality and durability with minimal maintenance needed. They come with detailed instructions and all necessary hardware for easy installation and are compatible with all Bilstein shocks and coilover kits. All components are replaceable.

Great service. Quick shipping.
Really impromptu decision to upgrade my suspension but these guys really helped me find the right setup for my vehicle use.
Feels more planted now
I ordered the Bilstein 6612 front and 5160 rear shock set up and added the Bilstein UCA to complete the upgrade on my 2018 4Runner. Shock Surplus shipped the rear shocks and UCA the next day and I received them a couple days later. Read the directions first and installed both rear shocks in under an hour. The front shocks shipped a couple weeks later and arrived 2 days later. I installed my previous suspension so I knew what to expect. Most difficult part was actually getting the UCA bushings setup done. Installing the front suspension in a home garage is not that difficult if you have a good floor jack, jack stands and a decent set of tools. Do yourself a favor and watch some of the many videos on you tube and ask a friend to help. I have a Victory viper cut front bumper and a 1-Up swing out bike rack on the back so almost equal additional weight front and back. My initial feeling after the first few days was that it felt kind of stiff. After about the first week I felt like it actually felt more planted and solid. The nose dive when braking was gone, turning definitely feels smoother, potholes and other bumps aren't jarring and it rides smooth at all speeds. I haven't been off-road other than some dirt parking lots so I cannot comment yet on that. I also need to mention that the Shock Surplus chat feature is awesome. I was on the fence whether to go with Fox or Bilstein, they answered all of my questions quickly and, based on the information and driving I do, they recommended this setup. This stuff isn't cheap so it's awesome that they're available and provide a lot of helpful information so you get what's right for your vehicle the first time.
2020 4Runner Gets New Shoes!
Just replaced a well-used set of Bilstein 5100s with a new combination of 6112 coil over struts in front and 5160 remote reservoir shocks with Icon 2” lift springs in back. Added the Bilstein UPCs to add strength and preserve caster. Everything bolted in without an issue. Top of the wheel well to ground gained about 3”. Specs from the front end alignment are well within range. The struts came fully assembled and set from Shock Surplus, which spared me the scary part of dealing with compressing coil springs. Finished off the upgrade with some Method 305 wheels and a new set of 33” BF Goodrich All Terrain TAs. City ride is solid and responsive. Performance off-road has added an increased level of confidence in the trails I can pick. Thanks, guys, for steering me in the right direction.
